In a Sept. 27 Instagram video, model and author Paulina Porizkova, 61, said women are dismissed and expected to withdraw as they age. She said many feel they must choose between disappearing and costly, invasive cosmetic procedures.
Porizkova said women who stop her to thank her often appreciate that her posts help them feel less alone about not being excited to age. She called aging a privilege, asked why women cannot remain “at the main table,” and invited followers to share what online content inspires them and makes them feel good. She added that she is inspired by women who are “unapologetically” themselves.
