Stella Parton said her family is intact and moving forward; sister Freida said there is no family feud after Dolly died Aug. 25. Dolly’s company sued nephew and former security chief Bryan Seaver on Sept. 22 and filed for a temporary restraining order.
She's Alive, LLC, which Dolly created to protect her professional property and business interests after her death, accuses Seaver of extorting the estate and making violent threats that allegedly led multiple employees to resign. Seaver denied threatening anyone and said comments from conversations with Dolly’s longtime manager, Danny Nozell, cited in court papers were taken out of context. Nozell called the temporary restraining order “spurious” and a “publicity stunt.”
Freida said no one in the Parton/Owens family is fighting over Dolly’s estate and that they all love Seaver. Stella said the family is also grieving their brother Denver, who died less than a month before Dolly, and said a celebration in Dolly’s honor was set for Sept. 25.
