U2’s first full-length album in nine years, “Carnaval De Luz,” is set for Nov. 12. Its closing track, “Torn,” is a Dolly Parton duet recorded in June and described in the announcement as her last recorded vocal performance; the band also released “Silencio.”
Parton offered “Torn” after Bono played her demos for an Irish-folk side project; Bono and co-writer Johnny McDaid rewrote its lyrics around a mother watching her family splinter. Daniel Lanois plays pedal steel on the track.
The 12-track album was produced by longtime collaborator Jacknife Lee. Earlier this year, U2 released two six-song digital EPs, “Days of Ash” and “Easter Lily”; neither shares tracks with the album, bringing the band’s 2026 output to 24 songs by its release.
