Three years after Taylor Swift first attended a Kansas City Chiefs game on Sept. 24, 2023, to support Travis Kelce, they are married. FOX Sports reported that game was the week’s highest-rated telecast on any network, with 24.3 million viewers.
The Chiefs beat the Chicago Bears 41-10 at Arrowhead Stadium. Swift’s presence expanded the NFL’s female fanbase and boosted merchandise sales: Kelce’s No. 87 jersey saw a nearly 400% spike in Fanatics sales days after her first appearance, then another surge after their 2025 engagement. Jason Kelce said two million female viewers tuned in after Swift appeared at the Chiefs’ Oct. 1, 2023, primetime game against the New York Jets.
Swift told TIME later in 2023 that she and Kelce were already a couple by the time she attended the game, after a period of getting to know each other privately. They married at Madison Square Garden in New York City on July 3, 2026.
