Lacey Chabert told Parade she doubted she fit Gretchen Wieners during her Mean Girls audition, but landed the role. The scene she read became Gretchen’s memorable English-class outburst: “We should totally just stab Caesar!”
Chabert recalled auditioning for casting director Marcy Leiroff and described Tina Fey’s script as “amazing and obviously so funny.”
She fondly remembered working with Lindsay Lohan, Rachel McAdams, Amanda Seyfried and Jonathan Bennett, saying they made one another laugh on set. Chabert said seeing people enjoy the film over the years was a treat and had brought joy to her life.
