The Broncos are placing rookie running back Jonah Coleman on short-term injured reserve after a high-ankle sprain in their Week 2 win over Jacksonville. ESPN’s Adam Schefter reports he is expected to miss four games and return for a late-October game against Arizona.
Coleman left the Jaguars game early but returned and played through the sprain. After JK Dobbins exited with a hamstring injury, Coleman took on a larger role and scored his first career rushing touchdown.
JK Dobbins and RJ Harvey had both been removed from Denver’s injury report; the article said they were good to go for Sunday. It identified Tyler Badie as a possible third-down option, while Cody Schrader remained on the practice squad.
