Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua will meet Dec. 11 at Cardiff’s Principality Stadium, with the vacant WBA (Super) heavyweight title at stake. Ring-walk times are unofficial, but the first bell is expected between 9 and 10 p.m. ET on Netflix.
The undercard has not been announced. Uncrowned says talks are ongoing to put four-division champion Shakur Stevenson opposite Manny Pacquiao in the co-feature; Keyshawn Davis-Richardson Hitchins is described as likely. IBF heavyweight champion Filip Hrgovic could also face Rico Verhoeven or Frank Sanchez.
Fury and Joshua are scheduled to meet at a Sept. 30 press conference at British Airways Arc in London. Netflix said Turki Alalshikh’s The Ring and Dana White would collaborate to promote the fight. Joshua’s promoter, Eddie Hearn, and Fury’s promoter, Frank Warren, say White, Zuffa Boxing and UFC parent company TKO are barred from promotional involvement; Hearn has reiterated that position.
