Drake Maye committed three turnovers against Jacksonville on Sunday, taking his season total to an NFL-leading seven by the third quarter; New England trailed 28-3 after the Jaguars turned his third-quarter interception into a touchdown.
Maye’s first giveaway was a fumble at Jacksonville’s 35-yard line; defensive tackle DaVon Hamilton recovered it, and the Jaguars responded with a 10-play, 62-yard touchdown drive. Late in the second quarter, Maye threw an end-zone interception to Travis Hunter, the second-year player’s first career pick. In the third, Jarrian Jones intercepted a pass intended for Kyle Williams and returned it 32 yards to the New England 5.
The three turnovers were Maye’s fifth, sixth and seventh of the season, and brought his total to 15 since the start of the previous season’s playoffs over six-plus games. In the 2025 regular season, he had 11 turnovers in 17 games, earned All-Pro honors and finished runner-up in MVP voting.
