On Wednesday, YouTube announced Custom Feeds, letting users describe a theme and get a matching video carousel on the homepage; they can save multiple feeds. YouTube says the feature will be available to U.S. users on web, mobile and TVs soon.
Users can start by selecting “your custom feeds” below the search bar and describing the videos they want. YouTube may suggest prompt refinements, such as focusing on sea cliffs or having no talking. In the article’s test, adding “without AI” to a prompt refreshed the results.
YouTube also announced “Ask YouTube” for product review videos. Viewers will be able to ask questions about a product on its watch page, and may receive recommendations to compare products and categories based on their preferences.
