Einride announced a strategic collaboration with Nvidia around its DRIVE Hyperion platform on Sept. 21, while its separate fleet plan calls for about 500 Tesla Semis. Management has discussed a 1,500–2,000-vehicle fleet by 2028; shares closed at about $3.75.

Einride’s model is to sell freight capacity and software rather than just vehicles. The article says DRIVE Hyperion offers a standardized path to perception and autonomous-driving compute, while higher utilization could improve revenue per truck. It identifies regulation, safety validation, customer density and route economics as hurdles; weak utilization could delay cash-flow breakeven, even with third-party financing for the planned Semis.

Insider Monkey reported that Tesla had 116 hedge-fund holders in Q2, down from 123 in Q1, while BAMCO increased its 12.52 million-share position about 5%. Nvidia’s holder count rose to 285 from 275, and Fisher Asset Management increased its stake about 3%; the filings predated the September collaboration. The outlet said it could not identify hedge funds holding Einride, which became publicly traded in June 2026.
