Seattle-based Hubble Network raised $200 million in a Series C round valuing the satellite Bluetooth startup at $1.6 billion and opened its constellation to general availability Wednesday. It plans to grow from six operating satellites to 60 by 2030.

The round was led by Smith Point Capital, with Seraphim, Carthona Capital, Earthshot Ventures, Y Combinator and RPM Ventures participating. The financing brings Hubble’s total funding to $300 million.

Hubble says its technology lets standard Bluetooth Low Energy radios in devices send location and sensor data globally after a firmware update, without cellular modems, GPS or dedicated satellite hardware. It said it has partnerships with Texas Instruments; smart-label maker Reelables is also working with the company.
