White House aide Dan Scavino’s AI party clip draws criticism

HuffPost

White House deputy chief of staff Dan Scavino posted an AI-generated party clip over the weekend, linking it to his experience at Thursday’s state dinner for China’s Xi Jinping. Critics called it tone-deaf amid concerns over living costs.

The roughly six-second video, set to Pitbull’s “Don’t Stop the Party,” shows Scavino spraying bubbly while riding in a luggage cart with his wife, Erin Scavino. Eric Trump is shown pushing the cart with Lara Trump alongside him, and President Donald Trump greets the group at the end.

Conservative activist Carrie Prejean Boller said many Americans cannot afford groceries, gas or mortgage payments; Meghan McCain said a friend could not afford air conditioning. Dispatch editor Jonah Goldberg sarcastically called the post the midterm messaging the GOP needed, while another X user cited farmers worried about diesel costs and their farms’ survival. The post followed backlash to an Eric and Lara Trump state-dinner photo, which critics likened to a “let them eat cake” moment amid high prices.
