TAITO and Clear River Games announced Lufia I & II: The Sinistrals Saga for 2027, bundling Lufia & the Fortress of Doom (1993) and Lufia II: Rise of the Sinistrals (1995) for digital release on Steam, PS5, Switch and Switch 2.
Physical editions are planned for PS5, Switch and Switch 2, with details to be announced later. No specific 2027 release date or pricing has been announced.
Lufia II replaces random encounters inside dungeons with turn-based movement and environmental puzzles. It also features the 99-floor Ancient Cave, a procedurally generated dungeon that resets players to level one on entry.
