Meta unveiled Muse Charm, a keychain-sized AI handheld for its Muse assistant; it will be available for purchase by December. Muse is adding live video chat, real-time voice conversations with custom voice options and an email address for each user's agent.

Zuckerberg said he expects Muse to grow into a “personal superintelligence” used by billions. Meta said the assistant will reach its AI glasses “in the coming months,” without specifying when. New retail partners include Walmart, Best Buy, Gap, Sephora and Wayfair; Amazon has decided not to allow Muse. Muse has prompted a stock selloff in recent days amid investor fears it could weaken brands’ ties with customers.

Meta also announced audio-only glasses starting at $349, available later in October, and previewed a slimmer $1,299 VR headset due next spring. It updated its Ray-Ban and Meta Glasses with new designs and modest improvements. The company is preparing Private Processing for AI glasses, designed to protect data while it is processed in the cloud.
