Rubeki, the solo studio behind Lorn’s Lure, revealed The Hollowing, a first-person horror flight sim, at PC Gaming Show Tokyo Direct. Its free Steam demo is available now, and the game is due on PC via Steam later this year.
Players pilot a small, fragile aircraft between airports and outposts across a mist-shrouded Megastructure, repairing communications towers between settlements. An unseen voice on the radio is their only company; takeoff, landing and navigation are core mechanics, rather than combat.
The game is set in the same world as Lorn’s Lure, which has sold an estimated 61,000 copies on Steam since launch. Rubeki is publishing it through Future Friends Games.
