Donald Trump called Barack Obama’s hypothetical idea of women leading every government for two years “ridiculous” Saturday, adding, “I love women.” Obama said earlier this week he believed things would be better, though not perfect, under women’s leadership.
Ana Marie Cox’s opinion piece, cited in the article, points to Trump’s past insults of female journalists, including calling Bloomberg reporter Catherine Lucey “quiet, piggy” and ABC reporter Rachel Scott a “horror show.” Cox’s piece also says Trump lunged toward Scott earlier this month after she questioned his pledge to pay all Americans $5,000 if Republicans held on to Congress after the midterms.
