The Beach Boys’ Sept. 24 show in West Springfield, Mass., appears canceled; venues in Quakertown, Pa., and Myrtle Beach, S.C., confirmed their Sept. 25 and 27 shows were canceled, citing circumstances beyond their control. The tour had been due to resume this week.
The band’s website lists a Grossinger Motors Arena show in Bloomington, Ill., for Oct. 9 and a Ryman Auditorium performance in Nashville for Oct. 11; PNC Pavilion in Cincinnati is also on the upcoming schedule. The tour marks 60 years since Pet Sounds was released in 1966.
In July, the band postponed the remainder of its summer tour while frontman Mike Love took a break to “recharge.” A statement at the time said the group planned to return to the road in September.
