Three Baltimore Beatdown writers forecast a close Ravens win over Dallas

SB Nation

Three Baltimore Beatdown writers picked the Ravens to beat the Cowboys in Week 3 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, forecasting scores of 30-27, 27-24 and 23-21. They named Malaki Starks, Carson Vinson and Nnamdi Madubuike as X-factors.

Nikhil Mehta's 30-27 pick cited Dallas missing several starting defenders and Nnamdi Madubuike and Teddye Buchanan being set to play for Baltimore for the first time this year; he also noted positive pregame updates on Zay Flowers. Frank Platko's 27-24 forecast said CeeDee Lamb and George Pickens would test Baltimore's secondary, while Carson Vinson was due to make his first start at left tackle in place of Ronnie Stanley.

Dustin Cox's 23-21 pick called for Baltimore to avoid a shootout, limit yards after the catch and control possession. He expected Derrick Henry to get more work after five second-half carries in Week 2. Cox said Flowers might miss the game and would likely be limited if he played; he saw Madubuike's return after a year away as a potential source of interior pressure, while cautioning that he might not immediately regain his previous level.
