Seven NFL teams entered Week 3 at 0-2 and could fall to 0-3 Sunday: the Chargers, Dolphins, Colts, Texans, Titans, Commanders and Buccaneers. The Colts and Texans were scheduled to meet, so one could earn its first win unless the game ended in a tie.
The other Week 3 games paired the Chargers with the Bills, the Dolphins with the Chiefs, the Titans with the Giants, the Commanders with the Seahawks and the Buccaneers with the Vikings.
The Chargers’ first two losses, to the Cardinals and Raiders, were both 26-14. Houston’s offense had not scored a touchdown against Cincinnati in Week 2. Washington’s Jayden Daniels was injured, while the Giants planned to start backup Jameis Winston after Jaxson Dart was hurt.
