Texas’ Colin Simmons flagged for restroom gesture after 16-yard sack at Tennessee

Texas edge Colin Simmons was penalized after a 16-yard sack of Tennessee freshman quarterback Faizon Brandon late in the first half. Referee Kyle Olson said the call was for “simulating using the restroom,” erasing the sack that would have left the Vols facing fourth-and-29.

Texas led 10-3 late in the second quarter. Simmons mimed urinating on Shields–Watkins Field at Neyland Stadium.
