Taylor Swift added four songs to her 2025 album with The Life of a Showgirl: The Encore, released Sept. 25. “Patient Zero,” “Cleveland!,” “Pink Clouding” and “Babylon” explore an ex, her relationship with Travis Kelce, breakup regret and leaving a small town.
Swift said she and collaborators Max Martin and Shellback wrote the additional songs in a Swedish studio while celebrating what she described as the album’s record-setting first week. She said “Patient Zero” was inspired by friends comparing experiences with an ex after one friend was contacted by his new girlfriend for advice.
“Cleveland!” mocks negative comments about Swift and refers to her relationship with Kelce and their wedding; the article says they married at Madison Square Garden on July 3, 2026. “Pink Clouding” refers to a term for euphoria and optimism early in addiction recovery. Fans speculated the song concerns Joe Alwyn, but Swift has not identified its subject. “Babylon” reflects on leaving a small town and regretting it.
