Sugarland’s Jennifer Nettles and Kristian Bush look back on making 2006’s Enjoy the Ride as the duo prepares for its Ride or Die Tour in October and November. The album brought them their first two No. 1 country hits and Grammy wins.
Enjoy the Ride was Sugarland’s first album as a duo after Kristen Hall left in late 2005, and it debuted at No. 4 on the Billboard 200. Its single “Stay” won the duo the 2007 Grammys for Best Country Performance by a Duo or Group with Vocal and Best Country Song.
The tour will feature the entire album along with other songs from Sugarland’s career, with Payton Sullivan as the opening act. Bush said the duo would make new music “in a heartbeat” and that spending time together again could spark creativity.
