New Found Glory announced six sets at Disney’s EPCOT on Sept. 28 and 29 to honor co-founder and guitarist Chad Gilbert, who died Sept. 20 after a years-long cancer journey. The band canceled its Aftershock Festival appearance to grieve.
The band said Gilbert was a devoted Disney fan, had looked forward to the EPCOT dates, helped plan the setlists and practiced for the performances. Songs will include “Something I Call Personality,” “All About Her,” “A Love Song,” “Dressed to Kill” and “Hit or Miss.”
Gilbert had received cancer treatment since 2021 and returned to the stage three months before his death after emergency brain cancer surgery. His wife, Lisa Cimorelli, and bandmates said he died peacefully in his sleep on Sept. 20, surrounded by friends and family, with his wife and mother at his side.
