The Seattle Storm closed 2026 at 8-36, the worst winning percentage in franchise history, after losing 103-91 to Dallas. Awa Fam, Flau'jae Johnson and Dominique Malonga combined for 72 points in the loss, becoming the youngest WNBA trio to each score at least 20 in one game.
The Dallas defeat was Seattle’s fifth straight loss and its 21st in the final 24 games. During the FIBA Women’s Basketball World Cup, the Storm lost All-Star center Ezi Magbegor to an ACL tear that threatens her 2027 season.
Fam, Johnson and Malonga are former top-10 picks, and Malonga was an All-Star this year. Seattle also has another top-five pick coming in 2027 to add to its young core.
