Missouri’s Ryze Adventure Park will not open in 2026 amid rising costs and weather-related attendance losses. Co-founder Greg Hoffman says it needed 20% revenue growth but instead lost about 40%; he hopes a buyer can revive it before it is dismantled.
Ryze opened in Maryland Heights in 2021 with more than 100 aerial challenges. COVID-related supply-chain delays pushed its opening to September, and Hoffman said the park had a year of expenses without revenue. The new concept was slow to catch on, though corporate and school groups later made repeat bookings.
Last summer, the founders brought in a team from Applied Adventure Consulting Co., a Colorado firm that oversees adventure parks, to handle day-to-day operations. Hoffman said he often second-guesses the closure and called Ryze a community asset.
