Netflix has titled Charlie Brooker’s four-part series “Blackmere” and added Rory Kinnear to its cast alongside Paddy Considine, Georgina Campbell and Lena Headey. Described as an absurd comedy disguised as a serious crime thriller, the show is due in early 2027.
Considine plays detective John Blackmere, who leaves the northern city of Bleakford for London to avenge his partner’s death and catch a ritualistic serial killer before the killer runs out of victims.
Brooker created and wrote the series. Ben Caudell, Jason Hazeley, Emer Kenny, Daniel Maier and Joel Morris are co-writers, with additional material by Victoria Asare Archer; Al Campbell directs.
