With storms threatening, Riot Fest cut Saturday sets and ended day two several hours early. Most acts played 20–45 minutes; Afroman’s evening set was canceled. Morrissey played 45 minutes, alongside SUGAR, Angine de Poitrine and Public Image Ltd.
Chicago meteorologist Tom Skilling said lightning was expected around 7:30 p.m.; updated information was shown on festival screens and in the app.
SUGAR was on its first tour together since 1995 and played songs from its 1992 debut album, Copper Blue. Public Image Ltd had a 20-minute slot and performed three songs.
