Orlando City’s 19-year-old Justin Ellis scored four minutes into his US men’s national team debut, heading in Gio Reyna’s free kick to open the scoring against Peru at his club’s home stadium. The US went on to win 4-1 on Saturday.
Ellis earned his first senior national-team call-up during a breakout 2026 season with Orlando, recording three goals and 11 assists across all competitions. He also built chemistry with summer signing Antoine Griezmann.
Ellis signed a first-team homegrown contract in February after progressing through Orlando’s academy and Orlando City B. In 2025, he was named U-19 MLS NEXT MVP and won the Generation adidas Cup Golden Boot with six goals as Orlando captured the U-18 title.
