Oregon State is coming off a 52-17 win over Montana, its first victory under coach JaMarcus Shephard. Quarterback Braden Atkinson threw for 333 yards and five touchdowns and scored once on the ground; he had more than 1,100 passing yards through three games. Receiver Jesse Legree had 476 receiving yards and three straight 100-yard games.
UTEP returns home after a 52-17 loss at Michigan. Saturday’s matchup is the first between the schools; Oregon State has played three bowl games at the Sun Bowl.
