The NFL fined Chicago Bears cornerback Tyrique Stevenson $22,342 for illegal use of the helmet on Minnesota running back Aaron Jones, a hit that knocked off Jones’ helmet. No foul was called during the game; the league imposed the fine after reviewing the play.
It was the week’s largest NFL fine, and Stevenson was not suspended. The Bears were due to meet the Eagles on Monday night without starting quarterback Caleb Williams, who was ruled out after leaving the Week 2 game against Minnesota with an injury. The league says collected fines go to the Professional Athletes Foundation and NFL Foundation.
