Director Lance Oppenheim says he and Nathan Fielder spent almost four years making their Elizabeth Holmes documentary, You Can See Everything, in secret. The film follows Holmes in the weeks before she began her prison sentence in 2023 and opens in theaters Oct. 16.
Oppenheim said Fielder helped make the film and described their experience working on it as “kind of a life-changing experience.” He was also working on Primetime, Ren Faire and Spermworld around the time the documentary began.
The documentary had a surprise screening at the Telluride Film Festival on Sept. 6 and is scheduled to screen at the New York Film Festival on Sept. 30.
