HGTV’s Charlie Kawas says he is in remission after months of treatment for testicular cancer. He kept filming season one of Botched Homes and completed renovations while receiving care; he says his strength and energy are gradually returning.
Kawas said he learned of the diagnosis in April, six months into filming, after doctors linked his ongoing back pain to a tumor.
He credited his wife, Pierra, for supporting him and thanked the medical staff, crew and production team.
