HuskerOnline reported that Nebraska running back Jamal Rule went to the locker room during the Michigan State game after an injury scare. He was later seen on the sideline, but a return was uncertain; the injury appeared to involve his leg. Nebraska led 24-10 at the time.
Rule entered the game with 329 rushing yards and five touchdowns on 38 carries. He had rushed for more than 100 yards in two of Nebraska’s first three games; the Cornhuskers entered the matchup 3-0.
