UK Foreign Secretary Ed Miliband told Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araqchi that Britain would not tolerate intimidation, threats or hostile activity by Iran-linked groups on UK soil, Sky News reported. They met on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly in New York.
Sky News reported that the meeting also addressed the war in the Middle East and the importance of reopening the Strait of Hormuz.
Separately, the UK’s National Cyber Security Centre said last week that Iranian state-linked cyber actors had used CHOSEN BRICK spyware in spear-phishing campaigns on WhatsApp and Telegram to steal emails, messages and other sensitive information.
