Federal authorities reportedly investigate Epstein’s lawyer and accountant

Federal investigators are reportedly probing Epstein’s lawyer Darren Indyke and accountant Richard Kahn, but no agency has confirmed it. A source told CNN investigators are interviewing potential witnesses and seeking Epstein-related records.

The Wall Street Journal first reported the inquiry. A CNN source said officials were seeking emails and checks and appeared interested in Epstein’s entities, including the Florida Science Foundation, a nonprofit. Survivors have told CNN Epstein abused them there while serving jail time. The Justice Department said it does not comment on whether investigations exist; the Southern District of New York U.S. Attorney’s Office declined to comment. Indyke and Kahn’s lawyer said neither had been subpoenaed, asked to speak with prosecutors or told he was under investigation; they do not know the inquiry’s focus or scope.

Separately, survivors’ August class-action suit alleges Indyke and Kahn enabled Epstein’s trafficking by providing legal and financial support. They are co-executors of his estate and potential beneficiaries of his trust; a victims’ lawyer argued those roles created a conflict, but a judge dismissed her objection at a settlement hearing last week. Their attorneys deny complicity and say neither has received estate funds; probate is likely to take at least three more years.
