In the series, Harrelson’s character moves his family to McConaughey’s Austin ranch after his daughter’s wedding falls apart. A decades-old secret leads him to seek proof that the friends may be brothers, while McConaughey’s character considers a run for Texas governor. The first two episodes are streaming now.
Harrelson said McConaughey helps him see possible upsides in troubling situations, comparing his friend’s perspective to turning a jewel until it catches the light. The actors also joked that Speedos and clip-in cycling shoes should be required for a potential second season.
