Writing in a new memoir, Dolph Lundgren says Sylvester Stallone spent four days in intensive care after filming fight scenes for “Rocky IV.” Lundgren said he learned of the hospitalization later and speculated Stallone was partly overworked.
Lundgren recalled multiple takes of Stallone absorbing heavy body shots and said Stallone began having trouble breathing after the scenes. Stallone later told Lundgren that the impact had sent his heart against his breastbone and bruised it. Stallone also starred in, wrote and directed the film.
