Justin Baldoni’s former publicist Stephanie Jones alleges in a new court filing that crisis PR executive Melissa Nathan helped create an anonymous site targeting her, citing alleged texts and a record of a $4,000 Zelle payment to former Jonesworks employee Katherine Case.
Jones filed her initial complaint in New York in December 2024, accusing Baldoni’s crisis-PR team of a coordinated effort to undermine her and deflect blame for what she called a retaliatory smear campaign targeting Blake Lively. The now-defunct stephaniejonesleaks.com appeared in May 2024 and accused Jones of holding clients hostage and leaking secrets. Nathan denied being the site’s mastermind in a deposition and did not immediately respond to The Times’ request for comment Friday.
The filing says the sites were not a one-off: three months after the Jones website appeared, Nathan allegedly quoted Rebel Wilson $110,000 for an untraceable site with hosting and promotion across platforms for three months. The next day, Nathan allegedly texted Case that Wilson wanted one. Wilson was then in a dispute with producer Amanda Ghost over her directorial debut, The Deb.
