LinkedIn is testing a feature that asks former colleagues to confirm members’ listed work history, adding a profile badge after enough confirmations. Verified company pages will also be able to remove people who falsely list themselves as current employees.
Company-page verification remains in limited access. LinkedIn says eligibility may depend on meaningful activity on the platform and an established commercial relationship, such as buying ads or subscribing to Premium Company Page; the removal option is available only to verified pages.
LinkedIn is partnering with Truecaller and PeerSpot to display its verifications on more third-party platforms, adding to existing partners Adobe, TrustRadius and UserTesting. The company says more than 115 million members have verified their identity or workplace for free, up from 100 million in December 2025; it also reports that verified members see 50% more post engagement and close to 90% more profile views.
