NFL veteran Jarvis Landry backed Leonard Fournette’s criticism of Emmanuel Acho over Caleb Williams’ reaction to being carted off with a leg injury. Williams’ MRI showed no tear, but he will miss Monday’s game against Philadelphia.
Acho said crying and fist-pumping on the cart should be reserved for an injury ending a season or career, and argued Williams should not cry if he could walk out of the stadium. Fournette accused him of chasing clicks and challenged him to a fight; Landry said critics behind a desk do not understand the work players put into football.
The Bears will turn to third-string quarterback Case Keenum for Week 3.
