Brandt Snedeker said he might later decide the pairing was wrong after Justin Thomas and Cam Young lost 3&2 to Adam Scott and Christiaan Bezuidenhout in day-two foursomes. The International team swept the afternoon session to lead 7-3 entering day three at Medinah.
Snedeker said Thomas and Young had played well on Thursday, making them hard to leave out, and that the choice seemed right at the time. Young and Thomas ranked 69th and 70th, respectively, in 2026 PGA Tour driving accuracy, each hitting roughly 61% of fairways; they made one birdie through 16 holes, while Scott and Bezuidenhout made five.
