Garage Beer offered to cover Colts guard Matt Goncalves’s $8,847 fine for miming a beer chug after Tyler Warren’s touchdown. The NFL called it an “offensive demonstration”; Garage Beer replied to Adam Schefter’s X post, “I think we have another 9K.”
Garage Beer is backed by Travis and Jason Kelce and has closed its first institutional funding round at a valuation of roughly $200 million, according to people familiar with the matter.
San Francisco fullback Kyle Juszczyk was also fined $14,926 for a similar celebration and is reportedly appealing. Goncalves can appeal as well; any appeal goes to one of the league’s three officers: Derrick Brooks, Jordy Nelson or James Thrash.
