Joe Jonas said he and a first mate fell into the water between a yacht and a tender during an Italy vacation after a wave pushed the smaller boat away. He eventually climbed aboard soaking wet and said his first thought, once calm, was to call his daughters.
Jonas recounted the episode on The Morgan Stewart Show on Sept. 23. He said he was fully dressed, had his phone in his pocket and hit his shin on the boat. Host Morgan Stewart, who was there, said it was scary to watch him struggle.
Jonas called it the “best outcome of a bad situation” and said it made him think about how quickly life can change and how dangerous situations can turn serious when people are not aware of their surroundings.
