Barry Williams said he thought Greg Brady becoming a doctor in the later “Brady Bunch” stories was a good fit: Greg was protective of his siblings, a leader and a caretaker. Williams said he wasn’t sure Bobby Brady’s career as a NASCAR driver was believable.
Williams made the remarks during a panel at RetroCon in Oaks, Pennsylvania, on Sept. 12–13. The original series ended with Greg graduating high school; viewers later learned he had become a doctor in The Brady Girls Get Married (1981) and A Very Brady Christmas (1988).
In A Very Brady Christmas, Bobby had left college to become a NASCAR driver. In the first episode of the 1990 sequel series The Bradys, he was in an accident that left him paralyzed from the waist down.
