Florence Pugh said she was never afraid to publicly support Palestinians and questioned why it took Hollywood so long to speak out. She told Vanity Fair she has likely lost hundreds of thousands of social-media followers in recent years because of her outspoken stance.
Pugh has shared links to humanitarian aid for Palestinians and appeared at last September’s Together for Palestine fundraiser, which raised more than $2 million for humanitarian organizations. Vanity Fair reported that nobody on her team advised her to keep quiet and that she was grateful to those who helped her attend despite the event conflicting with production on “Avengers: Doomsday.”
