Bayern Munich Frauen came from behind to beat Borussia Mönchengladbach 2-1 and reach the DFB-Pokal round of 16. Vanessa Gilles equalized in the 74th minute and completed her brace with a backheel; both goals came from Klara Bühl corners.
Coach José Barcala heavily rotated Bayern's lineup ahead of upcoming games against Benfica and Eintracht Frankfurt; only Vanessa Gilles, Jovana Damnjanović and Franziska Kett remained from the midweek starting XI against Manchester City. Bayern conceded from a corner in first-half stoppage time, and Barcala used all five substitutions before the hour.
Edna Imade and Pernille Harder missed chances, and the referee did not award Bayern a late penalty appeal. Bayern's next game is away to Benfica in Lisbon, followed by an away trip to Frankfurt before the international break.
