Gaza strike kills Saher Saqr, whom Israel linked to October 7 abductions

The Israeli army said Saher Saqr, whom it accused of involvement in the October 7, 2023 abductions, was killed in a Saturday airstrike in Nuseirat. It said he had been planning new attacks; Al-Aqsa Hospital confirmed his death, and three others were injured.
The army said Saqr had ridden the motorbike on which Noa Argamani and Avinatan Or were abducted; Hamas sources also said he was involved in the hostage-taking. Argamani was freed with three other hostages in an Israeli special forces operation in June 2024.
