Temple will open Phase III of its North Outer Loop on Monday, Sept. 28, adding a more direct east-west route between North Industrial Park and I-35 for commercial traffic, residents and other drivers. The four-lane road has sidewalks and a landscaped median.
Construction began Feb. 12, 2024, and minor work will continue after the opening, the city said, urging drivers to follow posted traffic controls. Earlier construction required a temporary closure and detour on Hart Road between Pegasus Drive and the I-35 southbound frontage road, with closures also affecting parts of Pegasus Drive.
