Tom’s Guide reports that Microsoft’s fanless Snapdragon X2 Plus Surface PCs handled a sketch-to-Blender-to-Photoshop workflow without perceptible stutter; the Pro’s back stayed cool. The 12-inch Pro and 13-inch Laptop launch Oct. 13 at $1,149 and $1,199, respectively.
The Surface Pro keyboard attaches only at the bottom spine, unlike the magnetic lower-bezel connection on other Surface Pro models. The reviewer did not test it on a lap, but said the lack of an angled brace might make the setup wobblier.
The reviewer called the pair Microsoft’s closest effort yet to match the MacBook Air. Both have 500-nit PixelSense displays and responsive keyboards; the article also cites up to 60% faster graphics rendering and an 80-TOPS NPU for on-device AI.
