South Carolina’s Dylan Stewart appeared to throw a punch toward Alabama’s Josh Ford after Daniel Hill’s fourth-quarter touchdown put Alabama ahead 42-18. Stewart was not penalized; Alabama won 49-18, leaving South Carolina 2-2.
Head coach Shane Beamer reprimanded Stewart after the play. Stewart had missed South Carolina’s first two games while recovering from a back injury.
